Train your employees and friends to
use the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The more who know how to use the AED, the
greater the chances of response to a cardiac arrest emergency. This complete training
course is generic for all AEDs on the market and can be tailored to your specific needs.
Each class participant should have a Workbook during and after class. The AED Workbook
covers public access defibrillation comprehensively and simply with pictorials and
illustrations, for all laypersons.
Citizen Safety Institute's training programs utilize three mediums;
- state-of-the-art videotapes,
- live instruction, and
- interactive educational material.
You may hold your classes at the site of business, local worship and/or community
centers or where ever you like. This program will range from 2-4 hours in length. You can
act as the facilitator of the program. Whether you are shy or outgoing, you can relax
because the educating professional is on the video.
Each program is a complete instructional package with everything you need, including;
- a 3-ring binder, educational video,
- 1 student workbook,
- scripts and
- all the supportive material you need for the class.
There are five sections within each program manual;
Section 1 Workshop Promotion: Who Takes this Course? Who
is your Audience; Each program is designed with a section outlining how to promote and
market your workshop. The Promotion section defines the six keys to success. A Promotional
Timeline defines each step of the way. Nothing is left to guesswork. Written and radio
Press Releases, Public Service Announcements, and advertising posters are pre-written and
scripted in the Promotional Section.
Section 2 Workshop Preparation: is How do I facilitate
this course; This section of the program is how to prepare for the workshop. Including how
to decide the length of the workshop, Scheduling the best time to conduct the workshop,
Choosing the best Atmosphere and group size, and Selecting the program presenter, and
Materials Checklists.
Section 3 Workshop Scripts: This section of the program
gives you the specifics of the workshop introduction, body and conclusion. It includes
Welcomes, Icebreakers, Expectations, Purpose, Recap, Q & A, Conclusions, Lasting
Impressions and Evaluation forms. A program script is included defining how long to spend
on each section, exactly what to say with each section, and what to do in each section,
when to turn on the video and what to say after the video.
Section 4 Student Workbook: The complete master student
workbook is in this section. Most workbooks are 16-20 pages.
Section 5 Supporting Material: This section has all
supporting material used in the class, including; master handouts, overhead, original
copies of articles, teaching aids, additional reading list for you're the facilitator and
the participant.
